National Disability Insurance Scheme Amendment (Streamlined Governance) Bill 2019 - Second Reading - Staffing
Passed by a small majority
No rebellions 86% attendance
Division last edited 22nd Nov 2019 by mackay staff
The majority voted against a motion introduced by NT Senator Malarndirri McCarthy (Labor) that would have amended the usual second reading motion "that the bill be read a second time", which is parliamentary jargon for agreeing with the main idea of the bill.
At the end of the motion, add:
", and the further consideration of the bill be an order of the day for the first sitting day after the findings and recommendations of the 2019 review of the NDIS Act and the new NDIS Participant Service Guarantee are publicly released."
Nobody rebelled against their party.
