Australian Naval Nuclear Power Safety Bill 2024 and another - Second Reading - Agree with the bills' main idea
Passed by a small majority
2 rebellions 57% attendance
Division last edited 20th Oct 2024 by mackay staff
The majority voted in favour of a motion "that clause 136 stand as printed", which means the clause will remain in the bill unchanged. This vote was put after the Australian Greens proposed to delete the clause.
136 Functions to be performed having regard to prescribed international agreements
If this Act confers a function on a person, the person must have regard to Australia’s obligations under any international agreement prescribed by the regulations in performing that function.
Note that West Australian Senator Fatima Payman (Independent) is currently recorded as a rebel voter in the Labor Party, but this is wrong as Senator Payman is now an Independent senator.
There was 1 rebellion in this division.
