  • <p>I will now put the questions on the remaining stages of the Customs Tariff Amendment (Incorporation of Proposals) Bill (No. 2) 2023. I will first deal with the second reading amendments circulated by the Australian Greens. This is on sheet 2445. The question is that the amendment on sheet 2445 be agreed to.</p>
  • The majority voted against an [amendment](https://www.openaustralia.org.au/senate/?id=2024-03-27.191.1) to the usual second reading motion, which is "*that the bill be read a second time*" (parliamentary jargon for agreeing with the main idea of the bill).
