- > *(a) welcomes the [decision](http://www.abc.net.au/news/2016-10-11/bp-withdraws-from-great-australian-bight-drilling/7921956) by [BP](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BP) to withdraw its application to drill for oil in the [Great Australian Bight](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Great_Australian_Bight); and*
- > *(b) calls on the [Turnbull](https://theyvoteforyou.org.au/people/representatives/wentworth/malcolm_turnbull) Government to permanently ban all oil exploration and drilling in the Great Australian Bight.*
