<p class="speaker">David Smith</p><p>My question is to the Minister for the Arts. Why is documentary an important method of revealing the true nature of Australian stories, and what happens if these stories are not told?</p>-

We flagged this in our cultural policy, where we particularly talked about the national broadcaster.</p> <p class="speaker">Milton Dick</p><p>The member for Casey is warned.</p> <p class="speaker">Tony Burke</p><p>On page 87 of the national cultural policy, it says:</p><p class="italic">The national broadcasters are the platforms through which audiences engage with some of our best comedy, drama, documentary and children's television.</p><p>Comedy, drama, documentary and children's television: <i>Nemesis </i>gave us all four!</p><p>I don't want to be interrupted by the star of the show.</p> <p class="speaker">Milton Dick</p><p>Order! The Leader of the House will pause, and the Deputy Leader of the Opposition will have a real point of order—not a statement, not a joke, not a comment; if she does, there'll be consequences. Out of respect for her office, I give the Deputy Leader of the Opposition the call.</p> <p class="speaker">Sussan Ley</p><p>On the basis that this is rubbish, I move:</p><p class="italic">That the member be no longer heard.</p> <p class="speaker">Milton Dick</p><p>The question is that the minister be no longer heard.</p><p></p><p></p> -
