In parliamentary jargon, they voted "*That the Member be no longer heard.*" These motions are known as gagging motions.

<p class="speaker">Anthony Albanese</p><p>I seek leave to move the following motion:</p><p class="italic">That this House condemns the Prime Minister for misleading the Parliament and the Australian people by not telling them that the modelling document for his net zero policy does not exist.</p> <p class="speaker">Tony Smith</p><p>Is leave granted?</p> <p class="speaker">Peter Dutton</p><p>Leave is not granted for such a stupid motion.</p> <p class="speaker">Tony Smith</p><p>No, the Leader of the House will resume his seat.</p> <p class="speaker">Anthony Albanese</p><p>I move:</p><p class="italic">That so much of the standing orders be suspended as would prevent the Leader of the Opposition from moving the following motion immediately—</p><p class="italic">That this House condemns the Prime Minister for misleading the Parliament and the Australian people by not telling them that the modelling document for his net zero policy does not exist.</p><p>If they had the courage of their convictions, they'd have a debate on climate change, and they could have it right now.
