Title
Motions — Member for Bowman
- Motions - Member for Bowman - Stop Lilley MP from speaking
Description

Tony Smith

Is the motion seconded?

Anika Wells

I second the motion. Why the protection racket, when the standard that you walk past is the standard that you accept? I heard many members opposite say they felt that what the member for Bowman had done was outrageous, yet they came into the chamber and they voted to keep him.

Tony Smith

The member for Lilley will resume her seat.

Sussan Ley

I move:

That the Member be no longer heard.

Tony Smith

The question is that the member for Lilley be no further heard.

- The majority voted in favour of a [motion](https://www.openaustralia.org.au/debate/?id=2021-05-12.122.1):
- > *That the member [Lilley MP [Anika Wells](https://theyvoteforyou.org.au/people/representatives/lilley/anika_wells) (Labor)] be no longer heard.*
- This is known as a gagging motion and means that Ms Wells won't be able to contribute anymore to this debate.
