<p>The question now is that the motion moved by the Leader of the Opposition be disagreed to. I call the honourable member for Sydney.</p>

- The majority voted in favour of a [motion](https://www.openaustralia.org.au/debate/?id=2021-03-22.118.1) to speed things along by ending debate. In parliamentary jargon, they voted "*That the question be now put.*" In this case, the question was on whether to suspend the usual procedural rules - known as [standing orders](https://peo.gov.au/understand-our-parliament/how-parliament-works/parliament-at-work/standing-orders/) - in order to let a vote on a [censure motion](https://www.openaustralia.org.au/debates/?id=2021-03-22.109.2) happen.
