The majority voted against an [http://www.openaustralia.org/debate/?id=2006-12-07.163.1 amendment] that was introduced by Labor MP [http://publicwhip-test.openaustraliafoundation.org.au/mp.php?mpn=Simon_Crean&mpc=Hotham&house=representatives Simon Crean].
